GTB Asset Management Nigeria rebrands, targets dominance in investment
GTB Asset Management Limited has announced a change of name to Investment One Financial Services Limited, following a management buyout of the company.
Under the new structure, Investment One Financial Services, which was the former investment and wealth management subsidiary of GTB Plc, is currently owned by the staff and management of the company as well as some selected investors.
The Managing Director of the company, Nicholas Nyamali, in a press briefing organised to announce the new name and logo in Lagos over the weekend, explained that the name ‘Investment One’ mirrors the organisation’s desire to become ‘a one-stop shop and first point of call for comprehensive investment services, as well as insightful and innovative financial solutions’.
The new name, which he described as an identity that aligns with the company’s aspirations, values and objectives, according to him, also reflects its strategic positioning as a service oriented firm that is responsive to the investment needs of its customers.
For the logo, Nyamali said, “the orange, grey and white colours connote the company’s warm yet cerebral, professional and trustworthy nature. The diagonal arrows signify dynamism, professionalism and forward thinking as well as the company’s desire to chart a sound investment direction for its customers”
He added that the company’s pedigree remains intact, as it would continue to adhere to the cardinal traditions, vision and core values that has been in existence since its formation as a subsidiary of the bank.
“The company was sold mainly to the management and staff, it was a management buyback. After this, we asked few friends and customers who have the same character and are related to GTB in the past to join us because we want to keep it as close as possible so that they will not destroy what we have made before. The Chairman and Board remain the same.”
Continuing, he said, “We want to provide investment education and investment services in Nigeria. Presently, there is little knowledge of investment in Nigeria and we want to take the country to the next level in terms of investment services. We would introduce innovations to investment management space to attract more Nigerians into this space.”
He expressed the company’s commitment to deliver sound financial services solutions, backed by core values of service excellence, innovation and market insight to individuals and corporate organisations to enable them achieve their investment objectives.
With the rebranding, the firm which is licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission to provide fund management, trusteeship and investment advisory services according to him, has further broadened its business horizons to deliver exceptional investment solutions in advising, executing, managing or wealth transfer to future generations through its complete investment solutions.
