WHAT IS THE MANSION HOUSE SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME?
WHO CAN APPLY?
Scholars are selected from the countries which the Lord Mayor visits during his year in office and are offered to those who have been accepted to study at a British university or to attend a short attachment or business training course in the City of London.
Applicants must be graduates with at least a Bachelor’s degree from a reputable local University, or better, and they must want to study or take a training course in a topic related to financial services.
Applicants should ideally be under 35, but scholarships have been awarded in the past to more senior figures.
If you are planning to attend a British University, you must study at Masters level or equivalent and must have secured your own offer of admission. Similarly, the finding of vacancies for courses or business training attachments in the City is your responsibility.
Criteria for Nigerian applicants
A first degree from an accredited Nigerian University
A minimum of a second class upper degree
A minimum of 3 years work experience in the relevant field (i.e. Financial services sector)
Good English language skills
A Nigerian citizen resident in Nigeria

|WHICH COUNTRIES ARE OPEN?|
|Awards are made at the personal recommendation of the Lord Mayor and generally limited to countries which he is visiting in any one year.
Nigeria is currently the only country open for applications.
