Job Description

The Position

We are currently looking for a high calibre experienced Deck Leader to join our  North Sea operating out of the North Sea.

Key Tasks:

 

• Prepare drilling equipment prior to its use and maintain it whilst in storage.

 

• Report on daily activities, report any faulty equipment or inconsistencies noted on materials manifests.

 

• Anticipate/organise all platform operational activities for all departments on the installation.

 

• Manage deck space in relation to all platform operations.

 

• Offload/backload supply vessels all platform requirements including bulk hose transfers (drilling and utilities).

 

• Organise all crane lifts for boat and deck operations.

 

• Cover all deck/crane/boat operations on the NAB platform during the hours of19:00 to 07:00.

 

• Assist NAB deck crew during the hours of07:00 to 19:00when requested and provide temporary cover for helideck duties as circumstances dictate.

 

• Organises and supervises all deck crew and crane operations for both drilling derricks and ensures the decks are kept clean, tidy and well maintained.

 

• Attends ‘Front Line Supervisors Meeting’ as per platform requirements.

 

• Responsible for:    Gas/Oil stock inventories (NAA Platform)

 

Bulk hose operations (including inspection of and replacement)

 

Deck loading reports

 

Container listing checking

 

Collating backload list from all departments

 

Planning laydown areas for all oncoming materials/equipment

 

• Stand-in for alternative work discipline as required.

 

• (Complete any other reasonable tasks as delegated by Line Supervisor.

 

• Responsible for the supervision of personnel engaged in activities in their area of responsibility or for which they have been allocated responsibility by their supervisor.

 

• Responsible for the performance management of the personnel under their authority to ensure standards of behaviour and performance expected by the Group.

 

• Monitor, supervise and coach any Service company or Vendor company representatives that may be involved in the operations on the rig.

 

• Attend onshore or offshore meetings and additional training, as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

 

• OFFSHORE SURVIVAL
• UKOOA MEDICAL
