Full-Time Engineering: Head Of Unit Infrastructural

Job Description

Reporting to the General Manager, the Head of Unit is technically responsible for coordinating infrastructural design and engineering, its correctness and on-time delivery. He will oversee infrastructural analysis and layout and shop drawings for road construction and services (water supply, drainage and sewage systems).

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

Performs and supervises infrastructural analysis and controls layout and shop drawings, Infrastructural Engineering plans, design and layout.
Infrastructural engineering calculations and project specifications.
Shop drawings for infrastructures.
Supervision of a team of infrastructural engineers and their works.
Drawing up cost estimates for the infrastructural engineering portion of projects.

Qualifications et experience

Has to hold a bachelor or higher degree in structural or civil engineering or in a discipline related to it.
Holding a masters degree will be an added advantage.
Must be authorised to work in Nigeria
Needs to prove over 10 years experience in infrastructural (e.g. earth works, roads, sewer systems) or related design works and is preferably familiar with international industry standards.
Preferably a registered engineer with COREN
Proves experience with MS Office, AutoCAD, Civil3D and other common software in infrastructural design
Is a self starter with an aptitude to problem solving, can work independently and is a good leader
Demonstrates excellent professional interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be fluent in oral and written English.
