Job Description

A SCB Way coach plays a pivotal role in transforming SCBs sales culture, process and performance. A SCB Way coach is a leader, an ambassador, a teacher, a mentor, and an implementer to the programme. A coach drives sales performance through instilling right sales discipline, imparting the right sales skills, and cultivating the desired culture.

SCB Way coach is a fast track position for high performers. Success in this role leads to many subsequent career opportunities.

The position requires up to18 months full-time commitment; there should not be additional BAU responsibilities during this period.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

LEADERSHIP & IMPLEMENTATION
1.Work with Country Champion to map out country implementation plan
2.Champion and convince frontline of SCB Way vision, mission, and purpose in every coaching interface
3.Drive sales performance through right behaviour & conversation skills
4.Impart SCB Way sales tools, process, management discipline
5.Teach SCB Way needs based conversation skills
6.Plan, prepare resources and setups for implementation
7.Provide on-the-job assistance and problem solving

COACHING
1.Motivate and encourage right behaviours
2.Instil right SCB Way values and culture
3.Develop sales managers and frontline skills

AMBASSADORIAL & COMMUNICATION
1.Connect branches/sales teams to country/group
2.Promote SCB Way

Qualifications & Skills

Functional
?Relevant depth of experience in the industry
?Sound knowledge and understanding of CB products and services
?Good understanding of relevant products and services in Premium and Private Banking
?Sound understanding of all business guidelines and compliance requirements and issues
?Strong people management skills
?In-depth understanding of key business driver in dedicated geographical market(s) with sound understanding of legal, political and economic situation/framework
?Deep understanding of cultural ethnic and religious market conditions
?Proven personal network into relevant client segments
?Outstanding communication and presentation skills

Personal
?Senior manager in sales. At least 8 years sales management experience
?Strong credibility amongst frontline staff
?Role model in achievement of sales through customer-focused approach
?Proven track record in ability to coach & galvanize team performance
?Strong motivational personal traits; influential by nature
?Strong implementation skills: can “roll up sleeves” and get things done
?Ability to connect and communicate convincingly with frontline.

Branch Operations Manager – Asokoro Abuja
Standard Chartered Bank – Nigeria – SCB (Nigeria)
Job Description

•Formulating, implementing, managing and coordinating processes / operations in branches to maximise operational health and continued branch stability in an efficient operation where risks are well controlled.
•Create, develop and manage Branch’s based service delivery channels e.g. Cash Sites, card based products, etc and ensure their optimal contribution to banks profitability.
•To undertake periodic self-assessment on key controls to assess the proper functioning and adequacy of existing controls.
•Assist in coordinating, facilitating and promoting understanding of operational risk and in implementation and management of OR within the Unit.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Branch Operations & Support
•Responsible for the setting of branch operations staff objectives, performing their respective appraisals as well as their training / development.
•Responsible for achieving the satisfactory grades in branch audits.
•Responsible for the provision of support, advice and guidance to the branch network regarding all areas of operations.
•Responsible for overall maintenance of the Branch assets
•Custodian of Key register
•Dual custodian for Branch vault and security pins
•Responsible for ensuring the reconciliation and control of the various branch suspense accounts and ensuring outstanding are well managed.
•Responsible for supervising the ATM custodian and ensuring proper reconciliation of ATM related accounts
•Monitor Frauds & forgeries in the region and recommend / implement appropriate actions to minimize occurrence of the same.
•Manage and control the activities of your direct reports and ensure that they are consistently appraised, motivated and performance is optimized.
•Monitor & control branch teller differences
•Responsible for monitoring stock of stationery items in the branch
•Data validation and control
•Supervision and overall responsibilities for BOO in terms of account openings, cheque book request, cards request and static data amendment

Qualifications & Skills

•Minimum university degree or equivalent with branch banking operations experience.
•High analytical and problem solving ability gained through professional & practical experience.
•Ability to work in a turbulent and un-predictable environment where responding and managing change is essential.
•Sound leadership, decision making and management abilities.
•Project management skills ranging from project planning to implementation.
•Strong negotiation, communication & inter-personal skills
•Management information / systems skills.
