Medicines San Frontiers (MSFF) is a medical humanitarian non-governmental organization (NGO), neutral and independent that offers free assistance to population in needs. MSF always attempt to provide quality and free of charge care to its patients providing the necessary resources to achieve the established objectives. It also provides optimal working conditions for its teams including social package such as free health care.

MSF-France has been in Nigeria since 1996 and is running Trauma center in Teme Hospital, PortHarcourt since 2005 and a VVf Surgical Project in Jahun Jigawa State since 2008 for this reason; MSF is presently looking to fill the following vacancy position.

1. Doctor Anesthetist (1 vacant post in Port Harcourt)

Requirements:

v Registration with MDCN as a qualified Anaesthesiologist/Anaesthetist is a must

v Experience with trauma cases will be an added value.

v Someone who can manage complex patient independently

Main responsibilities: Responsible for the overall anaesthetic and resuscitations act with the expat anaesthetist

Doctor, in accordance with MSF protocols (antibiotic-prophylaxis, pain management…) and with hygiene standards

2. Nurse Anesthetist(1vacant post in Port Harcourt and Jigawa)

Requirements:

v A diploma in anaesthesia is a must

v Knowledge of acute trauma management.

v Communication skills with people from broadly diverse backgrounds.

v Compassionate, flexible committed personality

Main responsibilities: Anesthetic care in Operation Theatre and recovery room, resuscitation acts in the hospital, and assistance to the Medical Anaesthetist as needed.

3. Junior Orthopedic Surgeon (1vacant in Port Harcourt)

Requirement

v A degree in Medicine is a must

v Specials’ Consultant degree in Orthopedic Surgery

v At least 12 months experience working as a Consultant in Orthopedic Surgery

v Understanding of MSF humanitarian mission to serve populations in need

v Excellent communication skill with people from broadly diverse backgrounds

v Able to work independently and exhibit strong judgment.
