MASSIVE VACANCIES FOR ACADEMIC AND NON-ACADEMIC STAFF IN THE NIGERIA POLICE ACADEMY WUDIL, KANO (NOW UPGRADED TO A UNIVERSITY)
The Federal Government of Nigeria has upgraded the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State to a degree-awarding institution and the National Universities Commission has accordingly recognized the Academy as the 37th Federal University and the 124th University in Nigeria. Academic are schedule to commence in September 2012.
ACADEMIC STAFF VACANCIES
FACULTY OF SCIENCE
Professors, Reader, Senior Lecturer, Lecturer I, Lecturer II and Assistant Lecturer in the following disciplines:

QUALIFICATIONS
PROFESSOR
Candidates must have a Doctorate degree in the relevant filed and must have a minimum of 15years teaching and research experience. The candidates must also show evidence of having published several articles in national or international peer-reviewed journals.
READER
Same as above but with minimum of 12 years teaching and research experience.
Senior Lecturer
Same as above but with a minimum of 8 years teaching and research experience
Lecturer I
Same as above but with a minimum of 5 years teaching and research experience and some scholarly publications.
Lecturer II
Candidates must possess a very good or excellent first degree and a good Master’s degree in the relevant field and must have a minimum of two years teaching experience.
Assistant Lecturer
Candidates must possess a very good or excellent first degree and a good Master’s degree. No previous teaching experience is required.
Academic Staff Salaries: The salaries and other conditions of service are similar to what obtains in other Federal Universities in Nigeria.

Same as above but with a minimum of 14 years experience in the management of a tertiary institution.
Principal Assistant Registrar
Same as above but with a minimum of 12 years experience in the management of a tertiary institution.
Senior Assistant Registrar
The candidate must have a very good or excellent first degree and must have a minimum of 10 years experience in the management of a tertiary institution. Must be computer literate and internet active.

Same as above but with a minimum of 7 years experience in the management of a tertiary institution.
Administrative Officer
The candidate must have a very good or excellent first degree and must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the management of a tertiary institution. Must be computer literate and internet active.
Administrative Assistant
The candidate must have a very good or excellent first degree in Arts or Social Sciences in addition to having completed the National Youth Service Corps scheme. Must be computer literate and internet active.

Chief Accountant
Candidates must possess a good Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting and be a full member of ICAN or ANAN. Must have a minimum of 12 years cognate experience.
