Full-Time Senior Mechanical Engineer Vacancies in Nigeria

Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Unit, the Senior Mechanical Engineer is technically responsible for the mechanical designs including air-conditioning, sanitary systems, their correctness and on-time delivery. This position requires thorough knowledge of (international) mechanical design techniques

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

Performs and supervises mechanical analysis and controls schemes and layouts and shop drawings for mechanical systems.
Responsible for the detailed engineering activities related to the project, assigned by the Head of Unit.
Review all design specifications including air-conditioning, sanitary systems.
Prepare any required project specific specifications and design calculations.
Prepare inquiry requisitions and review all supplier documents, coordinate with the vendor & other disciplines related to specific equipment.
Provide expertise related to the equipment and mentors junior engineers as applicable.

Qualifications et experience

Must hold a bachelor or higher degree in mechanical engineering or in a related discipline
Holding a masters degree will be an added advantage
Have 7 years experience in mechanical related construction works design and familiar with international industry standards.
Is preferably a registered engineer with COREN.
Has experience with MS Office, AutoCAD MEP, cooling load software, pipe/duct sizing and other common software in Mechanical design.
Must be authorised to work in Nigeria.
Is a self-starter with an aptitude to problem solving, can work independently.
Demonstrates excellent professional interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be fluent in oral and written English.
