MTN Project Fame 5 : 15 Contestants Enter The Academy
MTN Project Fame West Africa Season 5 contestants enter the Academy. After auditions in 10 major cities in West Africa, the 18 finalists sang their hearts out last weekend to convince the judges to give them a ticket into the highly coveted 15 spaces in the Project Fame academy.
Ade Bantu was introduced as a new member of the panel of judges. Monica, winner of Project Fame season 4 opened the show with her singles Tomorrow and Below. Present at the newly built Ultima Studios, Lekki were Larry Annette, C.M.O MTN Nigeria, General Manager, Consumer Marketing MTN Nigeria, Kola Oyeyemi and other senior Executives of MTN Nigeria.
Each contestant came out one after the other determined to sing their way into the Academy, as they displayed their very best in all of their performances. Christian Adeyefa began the contest with Craig David’s all time song Unbelievable, followed by Grace Mark who sang Always Love You by Whitney Houston; Sonia Obi did Natural Woman by Aretha Franklyn.
Daniel from Sierra Leone, Roland from Ilorin and Anthony from Lagos bowed out of Project Fame season 5 stage leaving the race to the other 15 contestants who for the next 10 weeks will face the faculty in the academy, battling their way to fame and fortune.
Iyanya, the reigning Kukere crooner and Season 1 PF winner treated everyone to his African hit.
