Nigerian News – Kano Govt. Offers Scholarship To 100 Students

The Kano State Government has provided automated scholarship to 100 indigent students that secured admittance in to Crescent University, Abeokuta in Ogun.
Gov Rabi’u Kwankwaso revealed this throughout a send-off event arranged for the pupils by the State Government at the Government House, in Kano on Wednesday.
Kwankwaso said the State Government would certainly invest N56 ton annually to sponsor the pupils who protected entrance in to the university just recently.
According to him, the State Government will definitely invest N560, 000 on each of the pupils per annum.
He stated his administration would remain to pay serious attention to education and learning for its residents to acquire university levels as well as for them to be presented and worthy suitable in to ‘the Nigeria of today, tomorrow as well as past’.
“Since we are the most populous state, we need to create chances for our people to obtain education and learning. This will certainly launch Kano State further into the league of modern states,” he pointed out.
He worried that “if the state did not observe education, its kids will definitely continue to wander the roads as alms people”.
He, consequently, challenged Kano residents not to relent in embracing education and learning so that the growth and also advancement of the state would be accelerated.
He said an additional collection of 100 pupils would certainly soon be granted scholarships to examine courses of their selection at Bells University, also in Abeokuta.
“These students will be totally sponsored by the government to make sure that their researches do not enter a hitch.”
He encouraged them not to misuse the chance by engaging in deeds worthy denting their specific pictures and also that of the state.
“While we shall continuously sponsor pupils, all we require is for you to be our great ambassadors. You have to behave well as really good citizens of Kano.”
A few of the pupils that spoke on account of their coworkers thanked the State Government for the motion.
